This project is an original virtual environment, built from scratch and grounded in the culture of the Gold Coast, Australia. My aim was an immersive, photoreal space that feels tangible, a place with its own character and narrative rather than a simple collection of 3D assets.

This project spans the full environment pipeline. Over forty unique assets were modelled in 3ds Max and textured in Substance Painter, then assembled, materialled and art-directed in Unreal Engine. Scene atmospherics, lighting, virtual cameras, and renders were also done within Unreal to achieve both hero stills and a cinematic showcase reel.

I led this project end to end, taking it from an initial design proposal through to the final deliverable, demonstrating all my skills as a 3D artist: modelling, texturing, scene direction, lighting and cinematography. For me it is proof that I can direct a large-scale 3D project from concept to a finished immersive package on brief and on time.
